From Numbers to Code: My Journey

For me, it starts with a love of numbers and problem-solving. With a background in mathematics, digital and computational studies, and French, I've always been drawn to patterns, whether in data, language, or design.

I enjoy taking on community-engaged projects where technology can make a real difference. From simplifying processes to building tools that bring people together, I've seen how even small improvements can create a meaningful impact.

Now, I channel that passion into web development. Each project is a chance to learn, grow, and build something that not only works, but also makes life a little better for those who use it.

Budget Planner App

MongoDB, Express, Node.js, EJS templates, JavaScript - This is a budget management application that helps users track expenses across categories. Authenticated users can add, view, and delete expenses, providing a simple personal finance tracking system.

Recipe Board

MongoDB, Express, Node.js, EJS templates, JavaScript - This is a full-stack web application for sharing and managing recipes. Users can view a list of recipes, add new recipes with ingredients and instructions, like recipes, and delete them. This project demonstrates working with MongoDB, EJS templates, and dynamic content rendering in a clean, interactive frontend.

I'm driven by a love for numbers, problem-solving, and building tools that make a difference. When I'm not coding, I'm leading college-readiness workshops at my former high school. This has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly and stay calm under pressure. I embrace curiosity and creativity, whether that's reading, swimming, singing in a choir, exploring Burundian traditional dances, I love exploring new ways to learn, create, and have fun.
